The Scroll of Honour for Reg Nightingale who was Killed in Action on 23rd May 1916 and is buried at Becourt. His son, who lives on the Arbury Estate in Cambridge served with the B.E.F. in World War Two and was evacuated from a Dunkirk Beach in 1940.

Albert Beaumont received a full military funeral in Cottenham Cambridgeshire and was buried in the Cottenham Dissenters Cemetery shortly after his death on the 19th December 1915. The cemetery is an eerie place, full of gothic headstones and decaying memorials. It reminds me of the graveyard described in "Moonfleet". The first battlefield casualty, Harry Wilkins from Arrington, is buied at Brewery Orchard Cemetery along with several of his comrades. Brewery Orchard also contains the grave of Captain O.H.Brown DSO., MC. (hero of the Cambs, Suffolks attack on the 1st July 1916).
